Dear John and Bev and family. We rejoice w/ you as the church family at Saylorville has voted to help you buy a house in Ankeny. We are thankful for how the Lord used you in Brazil and how He will use your testimonies here. Persecution comes when a believer lives godly in their position in Christ. 2 Tim.3:12. As hard as it will be you can take pleasure in it. Paul said "I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distressses, for Christ sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Cor. 12:10. No matter how much one is persecuted they will never be seperated from the love of Christ. (Rom. 8:35) We are "more than conquerors" (Rom 8:37).
