Dear Brother in God John, and your family. We are praying and praying for your health and recovery and that through this tragic happening some lives will be led to God and that those who have acted so violently toward you and your mission of work will find repentence and carry out some of your work for you. None of us understand why this has happened but we can pray for the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ to come to your assailants and bring them to your house of God there in Brazil. We pray for your health and all the strength you will need to face what is ahead for you and also for your family. We also remember Josh as he battles his illness. God Bless you and Your Family and bring you the Peace of our Loving Lord which we know you know well. God loves all and we want to share our faith and hope with you. God Bless.

My wife and I (in Pella, IA) are praying for you and your family. We believe God will do tremendous things and bring honor to Himself through this.

Dear John and Bev and family. We rejoice w/ you as the church family at Saylorville has voted to help you buy a house in Ankeny. We are thankful for how the Lord used you in Brazil and how He will use your testimonies here. Persecution comes when a believer lives godly in their position in Christ. 2 Tim.3:12. As hard as it will be you can take pleasure in it. Paul said "I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distressses, for Christ sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Cor. 12:10. No matter how much one is persecuted they will never be seperated from the love of Christ. (Rom. 8:35) We are "more than conquerors" (Rom 8:37). We continue to pray for you. Bruce and Crystal
