Birthday Card For Joshua
Joshua has a laptop with him, though it is not connected to the internet. His friend Jonathas, whose parents are caring for Joshua, has a desk top with internet access. He has agreed to copy cards, letters, website, whatever onto a CD and take it for Joshua's viewing on his laptop.
Sending snail mail cards to Brazil might not be effective at this point. Mail can take from 10 - 20 days to arrive. By that time Joshua will probably be up here. If somebody really wants to send Joshua a greeting in this way perhaps they could send it to an address here (Saylorville?), and it would be waiting for Josh on the day of his arrival.
If you would like to send an actual physical card via snail mail (post office) you can send them to the Leonard's home church:

Will the IowaHealth.org card/message site still be available when Pastor John reaches rehab?

Here is what their site says:
Send a greeting card to a friend or loved one staying at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital or Blank Children's Hospital.
This free service is available for any inpatient currently at Iowa Methodist, Lutheran or Blank Children's. We cannot deliver cards to patients in our emergency department or patients receiving outpatient surgery or diagnostic testing.
I would assume then this works for anyone in the hospital and not just icu or ccu patients. I asked Bev and she wasn't sure. She said she is getting stacks of them weekly along with the messages from the site here. She said John makes her read every one.

Yes, John will still receive card/messages sent to him at the
IowaHealth.org. This is a tremendous service.
